Facebook Moves to Ban Private Gun Sales on Its Site and Instagram

With this latest move by Facebook to ban its sales of guns on the site, it's a sign that they are coming for your guns. To maximize control of the population, the NWO will need to create less resistance amongst the population by taking away the incentive for safety and defense. - FUA

Facebook is banning private sales of guns on its flagship social network and on its Instagram photo-sharing service, the company said late Friday.

President Obama, state attorneys general and gun safety groups had increased pressure on the company to stop the flow of Facebook posts and Instagram messages offering guns for sale, often without background checks.

Although Facebook has never been directly involved in gun sales, it has served as a forum for gun sales to be negotiated.

The ban applies to private, person-to-person sales of guns, though not to posts by licensed gun dealers. Facebook already prohibits people from offering marijuana, pharmaceuticals and illegal drugs for sale, and is updating its policy to include guns.

“Over the last two years, more and more people have been using Facebook to discover products and to buy and sell things to one another,” said Monika Bickert, Facebook’s head of product policy, in a statement. “We are continuing to develop, test and launch new products to make this experience even better for people and are updating our regulated goods policies to reflect this evolution.”

Facebook also took steps in 2014 to limit gun sales on its site and on Instagram, including by shielding minors from Facebook pages that advertised guns for sale. At the time, the social network was one of the world’s largest marketplaces for guns. Facebook has 1.59 billion monthly visitors
